My name is Emma White, I’m a 4th year student midwife studying with the Innu Midwifery Program. I’m a member of the Mushuau Innu First Nation and I’m originally from Natuashish but lived in Sheshatshiu for most of my life.

 

My goals are to empower women and families to make informed choices, to inform and support their choice of birthplace and to reclaim birth in our communities. I hope to  one day have an empowering, culturally safe tent birth and to have my amazing  colleagues as my birth team!
