The Innu Midwifery Program team operates in the spirit of the Innu Healing Values of respect, trust, honesty, cooperation, family, and nature to uphold our three program pillars:
The Innu Healing Strategy, Midwifery Care, and Midwifery Education.
At the center are the Innu babies and families from which our community grows. At the heart of the Innu Midwifery Program are our students who we aim to mentor and nurture as future community health leaders.
Our dedicated team of locum midwives,
educators, program staff, and allied health professionals bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to strengthen clinical midwifery services and support the program goals of reclaiming safe and sustainable community-based birth and maternity care.
