IMP WORKING GROUPS AND COMMITTEES

1. The Innu Midwifery Program Steering Committee

   • This committee was formed in 2021 and began to meet quarterly in 2021

2. The Innu Midwifery Program Evaluation Working Group

   • This working group was formed in Summer 2024 and began to meet in Fall 2024.

3. Innu Midwifery Pathways for Education and Practice Working Group

   • This working group was formed in Summer 2026 and began to meet in Fall 2026. 

4. The Innu Midwifery Program Perinatal Mental Health Committee

   • This committee was formed in Summer 2025 and has meet regularly since then. 

   • Team Broken Earth

   • In May 2026, Team Broken Earth hosted two Innu student midwives in Uganda for an international medical mission focused on women's and children's health, allowing the students to apply and practice their clinical midwifery skills. This partnership will continue in 2027. ​
